JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV expedition. After spending numerous years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would give birth to the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road trip.

Whilst on their trip, John spent time talking to former business contacts whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were going to the Hoover Dam- John discovered a substantial market for a product that could quickly and safely elevate individuals in the air to accomplish maintenance and other building functions.

After their return from vacation, John set up a joint venture with two of his friends and obtained a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty workers, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates some of the basic design elements of that original lift into existing versions.

JLG forklifts have come a long way since Mr. John L. Grove came back to town from his cross-country road trip and since the initial aerial work platform debuted on the market. Today, the business proudly continues to expand itself into a range of markets worldwide and develops new products to make sure consumers are capable of being more efficient and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
